In collaboration with ACT Parks & Conservation Service & Conservation Research, a new community portal has been created where members of the public can easily report a wombat sighting.
You can let us know whether it was healthy looking or not. We are especially interested in manged wombats as they need urgent attention. We do welcome healthy sightings too as it will be useful to know where healthy populations are.
If you are interested to know, this useful dashboard will show you how many wombats have been reported to date and their location (hover with your mouse over each district to see the amount of wombats submitted and their current status)
