Stay in the loop with Wombat Rescue

There’s a lot happening right now in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) around the Draft Technical Report on Wombat Management, and things are still developing. We know many people care deeply about wombats and want to understand what’s going on, so we’d love to keep you informed as this unfolds.

A big part of what we do is mange treatment. We run one of the largest and most successful programs of its kind in the country, although our work goes well beyond that. We rescue, rehabilitate and release wombats, work with landholders on practical and humane ways to reduce human-wildlife conflict, and we do a lot of advocacy, awareness-raising and training with volunteers, wildlife groups, rangers and the broader community.

If you join our newsletter, we’ll keep you updated about the current discussions in the ACT, share more about our work, and let you know how things are progressing. You’ll hear about what we’re seeing in the field, what’s coming up, and how people can stay connected with what we do.

This is an important time for wombats in the ACT, and we’d love to have you with us as we continue to work to support and protect this precious species.
